About

Mr. Greg McKay

Welcome to Naughton School! I am excited to be the principal at Naughton School. I am a graduate of Minot State University with a degree in Elementary Education with a reading concentration. I began my career teaching second grade in New Town, ND for the first three years where I met my wife Doris, who was also a teacher there. I then moved to Bismarck where I continued my career at Bismarck Public Schools for the next 31 years. Over this time, I was a Title 1 Reading Specialist, Response to Intervention Coach, and fourth and fifth grade teacher.

I retired in 2022, and then worked as a special education aide at Sunrise Elementary School. I started as the part-time principal at Naughton on July 1st of 2023 and am looking forward to working with staff, students, and families at Naughton School. My wife and I live between Bismarck and Baldwin with our three horses, and a Siamese cat named Shadow. In my free time I enjoy being in the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Nancy Dyk

Hi! I’m Mrs. Nancy Dyk and I teach the Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade students. This is my tenth year! I love our little school.

I’m a graduate of Minot State University. I’ve previously taught in Mandaree and Regan and subbed for a few years in Bismarck and Mandan. I’m married and a mother to four kids–two boys and two girls. My hobbies are reading, biking, doing crafts and I love traveling. I’m so excited to be teaching here at Naughton School. The kids here are great!

Ms. Amy Weiand

I’m Ms. Amy Weiand and I teach grades 6th through 8th. I have been teaching here since August 2014, which makes this my 10th year here at Naughton School! I graduated from Dickinson State University in 2010. Before I came to Naughton, I did do some substitute teaching. I’m a single mom, I’ve never been married, but have one wonderful son, Noah. Some of my hobbies include sewing, social dancing, softball, hockey, and exercising. I really enjoy teaching here at Naughton. We are like a little family!

Mrs. Lynsey Estabrook

Hello, my name is Lynsey Estabrook and am the 3rd – 5th Grade Teacher. I discovered Naughton in 2023 and am so thankful to be a part of this school family! Before coming to Naughton I was an Aide and Substitute Teacher with Bismarck Public Schools, and ran a home daycare for six years before that.

I am married to my husband, Mitch of 11 years, and we have three beautiful girls in elementary school. I love to read, play board games with my family and basically anything outdoors. As a Teacher I enjoy instilling in my students a passion for learning and trying new things.

Mrs. Tammy Rudolph

Hi, I’m Mrs. Tammy Rudolph. I am the Aide & Preschool teacher here at Naughton! This is my 4th year! I graduated from Concordia, St Paul, with an Early Childhood Degree and an Early Childhood Family Degree. I have taught children from birth to age five in childcare centers and preschools in MN and ND.

I have also enjoyed my roles as an assistant Director and as part of the administration team. I am married to my best friend Allen and we have been blessed with two busy boys! My hobbies are reading, gardening, sewing, doing crafts and spending time with my boys outside in our yard!

Mrs. Julie Hathaway

I have enjoyed being the part time music teacher at Naughton Elementary School since the spring of 2018. I received my music education degree from Minot State University. Since then I have used my degree to teach K-12 music in Carpio and Underwood, ND, and private piano, trombone and vocal lessons. I have also taught homeschool music classes and directed church choirs. Currently, in addition to teaching K-8 music at Naughton, I am teaching K-8 music at Manning Elementary and K-5 music in Apple Creek Elementary School. I continue teaching private piano and trombone lessons in my home.

I am married to Mark and we have 3 adult children: Jason, Jana and Kara. Kara is married to Jacob and they have 2 daughters. We will soon be adding an additional son-inlaw as Jana will be marrying Kenneth in the summer. I love spending time with my children and grandchildren, playing trombone in various community groups such as the Bismarck Mandan Symphony and the West River Winds and traveling with my husband to see our beautiful national and state parks
